Indian Passport Renewal

Hi All,

I think i am going to be a big trouble now.

My Indian passport expired on 5/12/13, i need to renew my passport ASAP because i am getting married on 6th Feb 2014 and i need to travel to India. I am applying for a renewal on Monday 23/12/13 in London because i stay in London. Could some one advice me if i can get my new passport in Time??? and what is the time frame for Indian passport renewal if i apply in London??

Generally this is based on how much 'High Commission of India' is busy.

My brother had his Passport renewed in 4 weeks and delivered. And where as my Niece New Passport got delivered in 5 1/2 weeks.

But I think you should be OK, but, check if thier is a way they can priortise, based on your situation. Remember to take your confirmed Air Ticket, Your Wedding Invitation Card copy (if you have one).

And it is Indian Embassy, I hope the sentiments and sympathy should work !!!

There is no procedure to rush Indian passport issuance. Pasports get printed in India. The only thing that they can do for urgent travel is issue a paper one way travel document, called emergency certificate.
