should supporting scanned documents be self-attested before its uploaded, for the oci online application

Post by justdopposite » Wed Dec 25, 2019 11:53 pm

Hi

Should the supporting scanned documents be self-attested before its uploaded, for the oci online application please ? Applicant is one year old.

Also there is a question regarding 'previous nationality' of the applicant. The child applied directly for UK citizenship after parent got ILR, and therefore did not have an Indian passport. Should I fill in this question at all, please ?

I could not find this info on here. Any help is much appreciated. Many Thanks.

You are scanning the original documents into a pdf file.

So please do not deface your originals by signing them Just scan your originals as it is.

It's the photocopies that have to be self attested!.!

For previous nationality you should either click none or leave it blank (whatever it allows you to do )

Thanks, do I need to upload the self attested photocopies on the online OCI application ? or just take them for the appointment, along with originals ? Thanks.

Upload the only the scanned pdf of originals.

Take originals + self attested photocopy for appointment.
