My Wife's Visa Application

Post by andy1 » Tue Oct 31, 2006 9:03 pm

Hello There!

I am after some advise please..

Firstly my wife is moroccan and i am British, we first met in January of this year while i was on holiday on the second night of my stay, we soon realised that we met our match and fell in love instantly. I then stayed with her and her family in june and that was when i proposed, we married in August of this year in morocco. My wife has applied for her visa and she is having her interview on the 30th November. We have submitted relevent paperwork alongside the application form ie, wage slips, bank statements, property details, utility bills, marriage certificate, photos etc etc... But after reading this forum i have come to realise that i will need more evidence also i am worried about my salary, that it might fall short of what they expect, i take home about £1100 a month plus i have a housemate who pays £240 a month (we hav'nt mentioned my housemate in her application). I spend about £850 a month and that includes morgage and all bill's as well as food and petrol.

Please can someone answer my questions below. I am just making sure we are well prepared so my wife an i can get on with our lives together. I miss her very much and it hurts so much being apart. i dont want anything to go wrong.

Q: Does anyone have any knowledge/experience of how the Moroccan Embassy work?
Q: Do you think my wife should mention my housemate in interview?
Q: I will be present at interview will this make a difference if they see im there (i know i won't be interviewed)?
Q: I have only been back to morocco on a couple of times due to work committments but we speak daily on the phone or text messaging or on msn. I hope they dont look at just the time i have been with her rather than the period we have got to known each other via other channels (msn, Mobile, letters and email) does anyone know what questions they might ask my wife on this?
Q: Do you think my income is ok?

Thank You for your time..

Andy
