VAF1: Section 5 Can anyone offer some advise

Hi,
My Girlfriend has just finished her IELTS english course
She has returened to Japan prior to her Visa expiring on 30th Dec
She has now been accepted onto a 3 year Accountancy course
So she is now looking to apply for a new visa/extension at the embassy in Tokyo.
In section 5 of the VAF1 form there is a section where it asks you to list friends and family already in Britan and a few details about them.
On her original application this was left blank but Im not sure wether she now needs to add friends/boyfriend into this section.
Can anyone advise me on how the information you provide in this section can influence a student visa application.
Do they like to see applicants have friends Etc in the country or does this make them suspicious??

Any help you can provide would be gratefully appreciated

Speaking the truth on the application is what you are supposed to do.

I will tell her to write the truth and not withhold any information,
But can you still tell me, Does having a british boyfriend put her chance of being granted another visa in jeapordy?

Also Should I attach a separate sheet to list all her friends?
Where do you draw the line on this?

Hi,

She is supposed to list a few UK/EEA nationals or close non-UK/EEA nationals. I do not think she must list them all. 2-4 will be OK.
