Flr(O) Taking Too Long And Am Running Into Debt

Post by Hunse » Mon Apr 15, 2013 2:10 pm

Hello guys,
I applied for further leave to remain FLR(O) last year april via a solicitor and only got my biometrics request sent out in January. After leaving in the UK for 7 years now. I am also a divorcee and have a daughter going on 5 this year leaving with her mum and was born here. ( who has a 3 yr tier 2 visa ) But wont communicate with me, owing to the bitter divorce.

My immigration history has dated back to age of 2 since I have been coming into the UK regularly with my parents and independently and even schooled here up to MSc in computer science and financial management.

However owing to the complex nature of my application, I have been unable to work and also cant claim benefits.

Am getting anxious, since am told of the backlog of 300,000 applications etc

1. My solicitor advised me to be patient as the longer I leave it the better, secondly that I might qualify for the legacy scheme being introduced later this year.

2. Am being supported by family, however am also running into debt and cant make my regular payments, e.g. My recently attend university fees. I Was thinking of getting my solicitor to write the university to ask for the monthly payments be waived pending. As I keep defaulting

But thought I would ask advise on the two situations above

many thanks
H

You can ask you MP to contact UKBA on your behalf. There many other people waiting for the same things here

What is that Legacy scheme to be introduced later this year, can you elaborate?
