Current employer failed to make w/permit app

Hi
I was sponsed with a work permit with employer A and worked for them for about 2.5 years under the WP. Employer B offered me a job with a higher salary and better propects (supposedly). I took up the offer with employer B in June last year (2006) and have discoverd that they did not make the application for me and i am still on a work permit with employer A.
I have been offered another post with employer C as employer B turned out to be a total disaster hence im leaving after 7 months.

Basically i want to do the this legally and be more involved with the new work permit application for my new company. I realise that a WP1 form needs to filled out and just want to know if i give this to my new employer C and wait untill the application comes back from the home office.

Do the home office need to know about employer B?
