Time out of Country Rules for FLR and ILR..

I am aware that this topic has been discussed before..SO my apologies if this is a repost..But i tried searching the forum , couldnt get an answer, hence this post..

My Situation is
Got EC in Nov 06 , Came to UK in JAn 07(already wasted 2 months)

I might have to travel to France for 2 months in near future..My q. is
1)For extension of HSMP(FLR), will this 4 months will count towards out of country period??I had a look at FLR form ,but it doesnt mention any thing about 'OUt of Country' stay..
2)BIGGER q. is during ILR , will this 2 months count against me..

OK, as far as i know, you cannot live out side UK for more then 6 months in 5 years, leading to ILR, and never 3 months at a stretch...

So i will make sure that i am not of Country for 3 months at a stretch, but what abouty "Total " 6 months??

Can some one please state the rules for a)FLR b)ILR
