Does the baby need visa?

Post by shwemi046 » Tue Feb 27, 2007 5:27 pm

Hi

I got 5 years leave to remain here but I am going back home for good soon. My bby was born in UK who is in my passport. Does the baby need to apply a visa at Home office to go back to my country for good?
please let me as soon as possible.

Why are you asking the same question twice in this forum? You have already received a number of answers from members of this forum.

The answer is pretty obvious....why would your baby need a visa to go back to a country that it is a citizen of?
In a few years time we'll look back on immigration control like we look back on American prohibition in the thirties - futile and counter-productive.

Dawie, I think she(?) means this: As I am currently in the UK, does my baby need to have a form of visa (LTR) for the UK whilst I am still here? Or will they ask why the baby doesn't/didn't have any form of (dependant's) visa whilst in the UK? And thus classify baby as an overstayer!

The baby is born here but not British or settled and so needs a form of visa to reside with parents? Does that make sense?
