Student citezenship

Hello,

I have been a studen tin UK for 7 yeasrs now. 5 in school and have started by university degree and been doing it for 2 yers now. Does anyone knoe how long do i have to live here as a student to apply for unlimited leave to remain and than for citeznship.
I have read somewehre that it is 10 years and somewhere that it is 5.

10 years for ILR if you have continuously resided in the UK.

You can go for citizenship one year later (if married to a British citizen you don't need to wait the extra year).

You will need to pass the Life in the UK Test for ILR.

For Students
• Letter from the public or private establishment confirming that you were enrolled
on a course of study, including vocational training, throughout the relevant 5 year
period and
• Evidence that you have comprehensive sickness insurance cover for yourself and
any accompanying family members in the UK

In here it says only 5 years.

And anotehr question please JAJ,

I alos know that you could not have been absent from UK for ore than 450 days to apply fo ILR< is it during the past 10 years or 5 years?

If the period of absence is greater than 730 days or 450 days for husbands
wives or civil partners of British citizens, then wthe UK for the last 8 years or 5 years respectively

Does this apply to me?

In here it says only 5 years.

That's for students-applicants from Switzerland or the European Economic Area. As far as I know it's 10 years for non-EU students before you can apply for ILR.
