I wonder if someone can please help me?
I applied for an ancestry visa but it was refused based on the fact that I had submitted an abridged birth certificate instead of an unabridged birth certificate, so the immigration officer was unable to establish my ancestry link. Stupid mistake by me.
But I think it was a bit harsh to flat out refuse the visa. Surely they could've just asked for the correct document.
Anyway, I have submitted an appeal, but I have found out the appeal process can take up to 6 months!
My question is, can I reapply for the ancestry visa even though I have submitted an appeal?
The ancestry visa is not cheap, but it will be less expensive just to reapply rather than waiting 6 months.
