Hi. I am a UK native currently living in France. My Russian girlfriend and I are planning a trip to UK at Christmas and are going through the Visa application process.
In the official guide they demand translated versions of everything, including bank statements and residence permits. I know from experience that this can be a costly process (with a sworn translator, at least). Will the face to face advisor in Paris be reasonable enough not to demand this if the information contained within is clear? It really is self-explanatory (account balance, credit and debit...) and in any case my partner speaks both French and English so can translate the info herself. On the other hand I don't want to risk not getting a Visa because of this.
Can anyone help?
Thank you in advance.
