Spouse Visa Incorrect Date on Residence Permit

Coming up to 2.5 years since we applied for our initial spouse visa in Janaury 2013, me and my wife started to review our papers in preperation for an application of FLR this July. However, we noticed that the date on the Resident Permit was 02/07/2016 when in fact in should be 02/07/2015.

Noticing this error I have contacted the biometrics department who has said the date on the card is correct as this was the information passed to them by the Home Office. They have suggested contacting the contact centre in Croydon to see what can be done. I'm looking for any suggestions from the board as to what our course of action should be, before contacting Croydon, i.e. just apply in July this year as normal, wait till next year and apply for extension or get the issue looked into now?
