FLR - Processing time and visa application procedure

Post by maneji » Fri Aug 31, 2007 7:42 pm

I am working in UK in a financial institute on workpermit (which is expiring in one month). Last month I have applied for another job position in the same company. My employer has applied for a new work-permit for me as this new position is different from the old one. Now related to this situation I have these questions:

Q1: Can I apply for my visa while staying in UK and what is the current visa processing time and procedure and which type of visa I need to apply for ?
Can you forward me any link which gives details of the process involved.

Q3: Should I need to attach my new Job Contract with the visa application or only a supporting letter from my employer.

Hope you will reply soon

What visa are you talking about? do you mean FLR? Yes you can apply for FLR while your in country if you already have a WP, processing times, well it could be up to 4-8 weeks but you can use same day service it will cost you more but you will have your passport returned same day . And you can attach a job offer letter should be fine.

Thanks for prompt reply.

Not sure it is FLR or something else as I am switching my job and has new work permit.

Yes it would be FLR once you get work permit aproval letter it will tell you to apply for FLR, since previous FLR was given for previous job it will be no longer valid even if its not expired.
