Schengen Visa Query

If Somebody is on a Spouse VISA in the UK and the wife is British national then can he get a 2 year Schengen visa for multiple entries ??

Unlikely especially if it would be his first one, most likely be single-entry short term for length of trip.

And of course, the Spanish Embassy is the most arsy of the lot.
