Is IELTs Certificate still valid.

Post by marcus67 » Thu Mar 31, 2016 3:25 am

I am so sorry if this has been asked on here before. As a Dyslexic it is very difficult to read through reams of info. And apologies if this is in the wrong section. Not sure where to ask this.

I just need a definitive answer regarding my Wife's IELTs Certificate.

IELTs (4 part) test taken with the British Council in the Philippines 22nd November 2014, Overall score "7"
We are now starting our Application for her to Join Family in the UK, Namely me lol. I am a British Citizen. To settle here with our son who will also have a UK Passport by decent.

Is her IELTs Certificate valid for use as her English language requirement under the new rules set out in April 2015?

A UKBA rep said it is still valid, it is only ESOL that are affected.

Thanks in advance for your help.
