indefinit leave to remain for myself and husband

Hi,
I am of an Algerian orgin. I have been in the Uk since 28-02-99, I was a student than I have been working since 14-04-03. I had a work permit in my 1st job then I changed jobs and had a new work permit, basically on the 14-04-08 I would have accomplished the 5 years working with a work permit, and I would like to apply for indefinite leave to remain at that time. My husband has joined me on 02-08-04 and was a dependent on my work permit since, although he has started working after but still stayed as my dependent. I also have a child born in september 2004 here in the UK.I don't know when I can apply for the ILR, do I have to take any tests for it? when does my husband apply for his? and when could my daughter get her citizenship?
I would appreciate any help. Thank you ever so much

Adults applying for ILR must also satisfy the Knowledge of life in the UK requirements.

Once a parent has ILR, then their child, born in the UK, may apply to be registered as a British citizen.
