Lost Passport and citizenship certificate

Hello,
A friend of mine has lost his UK passport and UK citzenship certifiacte. Can he get a duplicate citizenship certificate?

He should contact the Home Office. But once he gets the relacement passport I can't think of any reasons why he'd need the citizenship certificate.

But does he not have to send the citzenship certificate when he applies for duplicate passport. He has got a scanned copy of the lost passport . Can he send that along with the application?

I don't know. I don't deal with repalement passport applications.

He is going to be better off just going to the passport agency website.

Proof of the date he became a British citizen?

A separate proof of citizenship should his passport ever be lost again, or expired?

He has got a scanned copy of his citzenship certificate. Is this is going to help. Which department in Home Office need to be contacted on this matter

Hello.
Thank you all fior the support. My friend just contacted home office and was told thay can send a duplicate one once he filled up a form and pay Â£20 for that. Good News.

Because you can't obtain a replacement passport in the first place without a certificate of naturalisation or a birth certificate.
