TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN REGARDING BRINGING MY BOYFRIEND TOUK

Post by hawaar » Sun Jan 13, 2008 11:58 pm

I WOULD LIKE TO BRING MY BOYFRIEND TO LIVE WITH ME IN THE UK, BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT THE REQUIREMENTS ARE? I WOULD BE GRATEFUL IF YOU COULD INFORM ME WHAT I NEED TO DO. I AM WORKING 30HOURS PER WEEK AND AM SELF SUFFICIENT AND ABLE TO SUPPORT US BOTH. AT THE MOMENT HE IS LIVING IN SWEDEN. IT IS VERY HARD FOR US TO BE SEPERATE FROM EACH OTHER AND WE WOULD LIKE TO RECFIFY THIS SITUATION,MY BOYFRIEND IS AN ASYLUM SEEKER AND HE DOESNT HAVE PERMISSION TO WORK. HOPEFULLY IF WE WERE TOGETHER IN THE UK OUR FUTURE WOULD BE DIFFERENT. HE IS AN EXPERIENCED PLASTERER AND IM SURE WOULD HAVE NO DIFFICULTY IN FINDING SUITABLE WORK , BUT AT THE MOMENT OUR HANDS ARE TIED. I WOULD BE GRATEFUL IF YOU COULD ADVISE ME AS TO THE MOST APPROPIATE ACTION TO TAKE REGARDING THIS SITUATION. MANY THANKS.

If he is 'just' your boyfriend, then you cannot help him. What is your nationality? The only options are student visa (which you can act as his financial sponsor), fiance visa or, if/when you get married, a spouse visa.
