Hello all,

I have got a query. My friend is at present on dependent visa, would like to apply for student visa in June without returning to the country of origin since his course starts in July 2008. His wife is on student visa which is going to finish end of year and his son is four yrs old.

Do you know anyone whether HO has been lenient to switch from dependent to student visa? If so, on what ground did they succeed?

Please help.
