Rejected Standard Visitor Visa. Please Help

Post by champlad » Thu Feb 21, 2019 11:35 pm

I am a British citizen who earns over 35K per annum.

My partner of 4 months is a Vietnamese citizen.

I have visited her three times in the last 4 months. I now wish for her to come to UK for a visit to meet friends and family.

We applied for a 1 month Visitor visa, however this was declined due to insufficient funds in her bank account. Even though we stated that I would be sponsoring her visit.

We documents we submitted are :
Both Passports
Both Bank Statements
Both Employment Contracts
Her Tenancy Contract
My Mortgage Deed And Mortgage Statement
Her approved Leave Letter
Her Family Book
Letter of Invitation

We want to apply again as we believe we definitely meet the requirements for a tourist visa. But we seem to be missing something?

Please could someone advise what additional documents we need, that would support our application? Or is there no solution to this problem apart from putting money in her bank account and reapplying six months later?

Visitor visa applications always come under greater scrutiny when the applicant is visiting a partner in the UK.

The ECO will want to see evidence of her financial self-sufficiency, in addition to your sponsorship. You also need to submit compelling documented evidence of strong ties to her home country to convince the ECO she has more reason to return home than she has to remain with you in the UK.

Your deposit of funds into her bank account is unlikely to change the decision as it will indicate her financial dependency on you.
