My mother applied for a Standard tourist visa for 6 months in mid Feb, 2019 for travel from May-October, 2019. The travel dates in the application form as well as the supporting sponsor letter was given as 1 May-28 October, 2019.
She got her passport with the visa back on 1st Mar, 2019. However, the visa vignette states a validity from 26th February to 26th August, 2019! How do I get this error corrected on the vignette please before travelling? It is important that she is here in September & October.
I have contacted the super-expensive paid email (c. £6 per email) & phone (£1.25 per min. so, I spent about £35 detailing my case on phone) service they have for UK immigration based in UK. However, the phone was just some data entry operator taking details with no clue on any advice, and I have not heard back after the call. I also emailed and got back a generic (likely to be automated) reply with irrelevant links on 'How to apply for a standard tourist visa' and on 'expired passports and stolen visa' by some customer service person, again with no advice on how to correct this!
How do I get this corrected please? Please help!
