Hello forum members.

Would somebody please answer my question here.

I have been reporting at Eaton House since 2008
,I m now in my 19th year in UK , failed to regularise & just waiting for the 20 year route .

I reported today without any issues but then the HO official asked me a random question,”Have you got a child sir to which I answered yes.

What could have triggered this question?
My daughter is 9months now & she does not receive child tax credits , I was handed forms to fill in at hospital but decided not to fill them in.

I will be grateful to hear other people who have experience this.
