BRP Card Renewal

Hi,

My child's BRP card expired on 27-Feb-2019 and we just noticed it. Is it ok to apply for BRP card replacement now? Looks like we need to show continuous residency in the United Kingdom. Is there a permitted gap in last 2 years? My daughter was outside UK from May 2018 to Jan 2019.

If you were granted Indefinite Leave to Remain more than 2 years ago please provide
evidence of continuous residency in the United Kingdom, such as:
letter(s) from a GP confirming dates of attendance (I dont remembr we visited GP a lot so not sure attendance)
letter(s) from a school/college confirming dates of attendance

ILR status does not expire you simply need to renew the card. ILR status is lost if you are away from the UK for more than 2 years so they need evidence that your kids was living here in the UK in the last two years. Shorter absences are not an issue

Hi,

My 10 year old daughter's BRP card expired (not ILR but the physical card expired).

I'm looking at https://www.gov.uk/biometric-residence-permits but it doesnt seems to cover the procedures for BRP card renewals. Can someone point me to the right documents those needs to be filled and fee details? Thanks in Advance.

Also - what is the usual time to get the new BRP card?
