Any changes in Rule for PR?

Does any one know about the PR(ILR) rules getting amended..Heard that WP holders should complete 5 years for PR. ? Can anyone throw some light on this news?

There was a proposal submitted by current government to Parliament, as I understand... There's indeed a proposed change there to eliminate automatic right to settle for many categories, and to increase the waiting period to 5 years for others.

We'll have to wait and see what develops; emotions, while understandable, won't help - we don't vote in elections as of now. ;)
