Where do I Stand now? Is there a possibility of switching?

Hello Everyone!

I came to the UK as a student and graduated with a Bachelors degree from a university and subsequently enrolled for a PG Dip in a private college due to it's reasonable fees and graduated earlier this year. I then applied for IGS after graduation and was granted the visa a few weeks later. Last month, I was told by on of my classmates that the college is now closed and removed from the Dfes register after they were caught for something dodgy. Speaking to the college, I was told that they are now under new management.

I was granted a PG Dip from the old college this year as I studied there for about a year and now they have even been removed from the list of listed bodies. As far as I know the college was fine, there were about 60-80 students and the teaching was not bad but facilities weren't great.

I am now working under the IGS visa and would like to possibly extend it to PSW or WP before the expiry but, I am a little confused here with the college closure and validity of my certificate now. Where do I stand?

Any advise will be much appreciated as I'm a little confused here of what to do :?

Thanks

Frank

Who awarded the diploma? If it a recognised awarding body, I cannot see any problems. I have only ever heard of one PGDip from NCC Education Services however. If it is awarded by the college, well that may have been fine for IGS (or was it the degree that got you that). I am not too clued up on the PSW.

What was the name of the college? The closure of the college may have nothing to do with the validity of the certificate, it all depends.
