In March 2007 my partner and I did an application for EEA2 and EEA1
based on the fact that I was working, therefore, exercising my treaty
rights as a worker here.
I was pregnant and after my maternity leave I went back to work part
time, but I couldn't cope with the requirements of starting to work at
8am; even I couldn't find childcare starting at 7am in the morning so,
I resigned the job.
We've been waiting for my partner’s residence card for a year and seven months,
knowing that the deadline is 6 months and they are in breach of the
law.
Now, I am starting a full time degree, I have
a casual part time job in a market research company and I would like to
know:
-If I can apply for tuition fee loan, maintenance grant and loan, help
with childcare...cos I qualify as a home student...,(but I read some
information that I'll become a burden to the social security system)
-If no, would it be possible to apply as an European for tuition fees
loan only?
-When our case is reviewed, how am I going to be treated:
-as a worker, (I work part time and my EEA1 was as a worker)?
-as a student?
-as a self sufficient (my partner continues working and is
supporting us(me and my baby))?
We are having very difficult times because my partner’s passport is with the Home
Office, we can't apply for mortgage, even when my partner profile and credit
history is excellent. We neither can buy a car nor travel. Our
son’s relatives haven’t seen him and he doesn’t know his paternal grand parents....
Thank you for reading, hopefully someone can give me some advice
THANKS
