Don't have old passport

Last year my passport got expired and I was issued a new passport. But when my new passport arrived, it did not have the old one along with it. I wasn't aware that you need your old passport (the one you entered UK with) for filing ILR. What can I do now?

Write and ask for your expired passport back.
