This should be fine, since the ILR status doesn't expire - the card does. So you can apply when you're back and just wait for a few months till you have a new BRP.longresidence wrote: ↑Mon Oct 17, 2022 8:25 pmas my BRP ILR card expires in April 2023, so can I go to India in January 2023 and come back here. Any issues at the immigration desks as my BRP card expires in just over 2 months ?
Provided the BRP is still valid when returning so that airline employers allow him to board.meself2 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 17, 2022 9:14 pmThis should be fine, since the ILR status doesn't expire - the card does. Thanks for the reply mate.contorted_svy wrote: ↑Mon Oct 17, 2022 9:03 pmSorry can't edit my previous post anymore - other users have reported much longer waiting times for a new BRP. If it reaches the expiration date, it's expired, so it fits the terms.longresidence wrote: ↑Mon Oct 17, 2022 10:53 pm) But the link you have sent me doesn't say that renewal. And only says that Lost, replace, damage and expired.
You can use this form to get a biometric residence permit (BRP) if you are in the UK and if:
your BRP or other immigration document is lost, stolen, damaged
your BRP or other immigration document has expired after you have received indefinite leave to remain
BRPlongresidence wrote: ↑Mon Oct 17, 2022 10:53 pm2) And also not sure which one I need to select whether BRP or BRC. Currently I am holding ILR thru 10 years long residency. Really confusing alot

1) But the link you have sent me doesn't say that renewal. And only says that Lost, replace, transfer, damage and expired. It says enough with replacement and expired to clearly define it.
2) And also not sure which one I need to select whether BRP or BRC. Currently I am holding ILR thru 10 years long residency. Really confusing alot You currently have a BRP so that's what you're renewing
3) And also do i need to send the Biometric card back to them once i apply ILR renewal online You would be signposted on what to do. But Yes, you'd need to cut it up and return it.
4) can I also travel outside the UK whilst my ILR renewal is under process if I don't send my card to them as per above point 3 I wouldn't advise that. But technically, it should let you board a flight if it's still valid. Then you can deal with the UK immigration when you land.
Thanks for the valid inputs and appreciate same response from everyone
Thanks
Longresidence
Please correct me all the above queries
Thanks mate.
Appreciate your quick response.
First of all you uploaded those screenshots with your name on them. This exposed your identity to theft and scams here so they have been removedlongresidence wrote: ↑Tue Oct 18, 2022 10:55 amAppreciate your quick response.
But when you look at the attached screenshots in earlier reply and it clearly says that PASSPORTS MUST BE ORIGINALS and along with other docs also originals and copies...so just trying to understand what exactly?
or
Will they just check originals at the time of dropping biometrics and giving them back straight away?
Thanks in advance mate

I repeat again that since 2018, NO physical document is taken from the applicants. It is ALL digital scans during submission. No original is taken from you at the appointment
Thanks for the reply mate
Thanks for the responseAmazonianX wrote: ↑Wed Oct 19, 2022 12:35 amSo far the BRP card still indicates some validity on it you should have any issue.
Many thanks for the valuable inputs mate..Appreciate your response
Correct, you should not have any issue so far BRP still valid and goes for advice you had from gurus alreadylongresidence wrote: ↑Wed Oct 19, 2022 9:34 amThanks for the responseAmazonianX wrote: ↑Wed Oct 19, 2022 12:35 amSo far the BRP card still indicates some validity on it you should have any issue.
Are you saying I should have no issue..right? I think by mistake you didn't say 'NO' in your reply.
