6-month UK visitor visa

Post by vivid_guy_007 » Sun Mar 12, 2023 2:51 pm

Dear fellow members and moderators,

I have 2 questions regarding 6-month UK visitor visa application for my Mother-in law from India and she plans to travel to UK from Jun-2023 to Sep-2023. Her biometric appointment is scheduled in 1 weeks time. I am a naturalized British citizen and my wife is in on Spouse visa valid till Jun-2023. I have following two questions:

1) My wife is in the process of making ILR application but her current visa is valid until Jun-2023. Would that be seen an issue as she would technically not have visa for full application period of my mother-in law visitor visa? Her ILR application is not made yet and we are compiling documents to make the application.

2) I have uploaded the supporting documents for visa application to VFS Global website. Does she need to carry photocopy (or originals) with her? She doesn't have my original UK bank statements. She plans to carry only the following documents with her:
(a) her original passport,
(b) A print out of the VFS appointment confirmation letter, which shows the latest documents uploaded, and
(c) a printout of your checklist from GOV.UK
I believe #a to #c are sufficient and she doesn't need to carry any other documents or photos, etc. Please suggest.

Thanks for your time.

Best Regards,
Abhi

Thanks for your time.
