Repeated False Detentions at Airport

Post by Gocmen » Thu Mar 16, 2023 1:50 pm

I obtained my settled status 5 months ago. Since then, I'm having trouble at border control. When Border Force officer scans my passport, the system shows as if there's an issue with my visa, then they hand me a detention form and take me to the waiting area to wait until they do further checks. After ~30 minutes they come back apologising and let me in.

I ask for details why this is happening to the Officers and the answer is always "I have no idea". The system somehow shows a warning to them. Only when they do further checks, they find out that everything is good. This happened 3 consecutive times in the last 5 months.

I've been in the UK for 6 years and it had never happened before I got my ILR. And I've never been in any type of trouble with Home Office or the justice system.

I emailed complaintscompliments@homeoffice.gov.uk 4 weeks ago but they did not get back to me.

Does anyone have an idea why this might be happening and what I should do next?

Thanks @meself2.

They've replied to my email saying that it's fixed now.
