Hello guys.. plz advice me on my situation..

I am married to a girl with ILR in UK. I got married in july. i am on students visa which will last untill sept 09. I had perfectly legal marriage with COA first and then through registrar. She also stayed with me 6 months before marriage. Soon after marriage she disappeared and I went to police, she is staying somewhere else and told police to tell me that she dont want to contact me from now. The police told me she is fine but she does not want to get in touch with you.

What can I do now? I am still on my students visa. All I have is our marriage certificate. she took her passport copies as well. Also I had no fights or quarrels with her, so there was no reason given from my side.

Please let me know if you need any more info... any suggestion are appriciated

From an immigration point of view, your status is exactly the same as it was before you got married. If your wife will not sponsor you and you are not living together as man and wife, you will not be granted LTR as a spouse. If you are unable to make a further successful application as a student, HSMP, whatever, you must leave the UK when your current LTR expires.

With regards to your marriage, you should probably consult a family lawyer to be sure about your rights/responsibilities. If you can't effect a reconciliation, I think the law is that neither party can seek a divorce within 1 year of the marriage.
