Sibling visa to support me during sickness

Post by 358AIQBAL03 » Thu Jul 27, 2023 4:55 pm

Hi

I need to apply for my sister visa in emergency to support me during my sick leave. My surgery is happening in 4 weeks and recovery time for the surgery is at least 3 - 4months, It essentially means I will not be able to weight bear for 6 weeks followed by slow phasic return to mobility. I live alone here and full time employed .

I am not sure what level of strong evidence should I provide to ensure them that my sister will go back once I will be able to cope by my own. She is not employed but has good family ties. She hss had no foreign travel and never visited me despite of me in UK from last 5 years.

I wonder If people on this forum can suggest me around my concern re sister visa application. Thanks

Essentially you are stating she will be your caregiver for the period, that will not get you very far with the Home Office. That is treated as employment even if there is no direct payment.

Your sisters lack of employment will cause concern too, as will the proposed length of stay.

Not seeing a high likelihood of sucess.

Thank you

It certainly makes sense. Is there anyother way to make it work. ?
I really need someone from my family to help me who can be with me 24/7 for few weeks.
Should she apply for visit visa . There are enough funds avaiable and good family ties. Will they both be enough to make them realise that she will go back.
Thank you.

Applying for a visit visa is the only route that allows her to come to the U.K. however the concerns and circumstances remain the same. No employment, the reason for the stay and length of stay will all stand against a visit visa being granted.

Funds and ties back home will probably not outweigh the concerns, there is nothing to lose by trying BUT I really don’t hold out much hope of success. Remember once she has a refusal against her that will impact future travel so it is a risk that has to be considered.
