ILR after 5 years HSMP, which documents are required.

Post by valsad » Mon Jan 05, 2009 6:45 pm

Hi,

I am on HSMP (2+3 yrs). My initial EC was on 2nd March 2004. I came to UK on 27th March 2004 and got my extension upto 2nd March 2009.

My question is, what is the earliest date I can apply for ILR.

Regarding documents list. in new SET(O) form, section 9-G states to show 'economic activity and personal earnings during your stay in UK'. I am going to send all my P60s upto last year and payslips of this financial year ( I don't have payslips covering relevant P60s except for this financial year). But do I need to send all bank statements for last 5 years, there's about 110 pages to my current bank a/c statement, if not then statements covering how many years do I need to send. I am also going to send statements of my cash mini ISA.

Also I have a second job (seasonal, not part-time) working on checkout in a supermarket and salary from this job goes into another bank a/c. Do I have to show this second job and provide with its payslips and bank a/c statements.

I have absence of 11 + 30 + 10 days in last 5 years which are all paid leaves, do I have to specify that these were paid leaves and needs letter from employer stating the same.

Is it necessary to submit council tax, water bills.

As per recent time scale for postal ILR application, is it wise to apply in person at PEO.

I would be very grateful if someone gives me their views.

Thanks

Based on my experience after completing 5 yrs and applied for ILR under HSMP at croydon, I would suggest carrying atleast following documents:
- P60 of 1st 4 years
- Pay slips of last 11-12 months
- Bank statements of last one year
- Life in UK test certificate
- Preferably letter from your employer(s) stating that you are working with them ( though it is not essential for HSMP but PEO had asked me to submit)

No need to submit council tax / utility bills
