Does BUNAC count towards ILR / Naturalization

Basically, I want to know if BUNAC counts towards ILR and Naturalization?

I've heard arguments for and against this, but I cannot find a definitive answer.

Can I apply for ILR, 5 years from when I entered on BUNAC? Or do I have to wait until 5 years from my work permit?

I have googled this as well and cannot find information. I have also e-mailed the Home Office, but I have not received a reply.

Brief History

SEP 2003 Arrived in UK as a student. Passport stamped for 6 months study by Immigration officer at Heathrow

DEC 2003 Went home form Christmas. Applied at British Embassy in New York for 1 year Student Visa

OCT 2004 Finished Studies, went home to NYC

NOV 2004 Entered UK on BUNAC blue card

JAN 2005 Started New Job at Company X

MAY 2005 Left UK, Company X sponsors work permit

JUN 2005 Work Permit Granted (June 15)

JULY 2005 Entry Clearance granted. Arrive in UK on July 2.

DEC 2006 HSMP Granted

JAN 2009 Tier 1 Granted

Can I apply for ILR, 5 years from when I entered on BUNAC? Or do I have to wait until 5 years from my work permit?

BUNAC doesnt count - it would under 10 year stay I think but for u at this stage it's five years under work visas.
