LEGACY CASE

Post by ForeignOne » Mon Jan 26, 2009 5:41 pm

I have a lawyer looking at my Legacy Case, but he just says I have to wait.
I'm on the 4th lawyer, my case will be 13 years old in June, so I'm completely tired of waiting!

Does anyone out there know what numbers to call at the Home Office to enquire about status of a Lecay Case?
Are there any implications with chasing them at the HO?

Thank you.

You need to find out IF your case is being dealt under legacy, then which team is dealing.

Get in touch with the right team and write letters direct to them.

LEGACY CASE

I have been adviced it's a Legacy Case by my lawyer.

Q.1: How can I determine what team is dealing with my case.
Q.2: Can it be detrimental to my case to call them directly as adviced by
clair0?

There's an entire section on legacy cases at ukresident.com. There is also a telephone directory there for most legacy teams. Try & have a read through the section then decide after reading other people's experiences if you would like to deal directly with your team.

Be warned though that cases were reshuffled so if your last contact with them was prior to 5th January 2009, your case may have been reallocated depending on where you live. Good luck.
