HSMP Tier 1

Post by gauravgandecha » Mon Feb 02, 2009 11:13 am

Hi,

I am applying from within the UK and from the self assessment i can see that i do meet the requirements of 75 points but i had a few querries before i go ahead with the application process.

1) I am submitting 12 months bank statements along with 10 months payslips for which im claiming the points. However, last year i went paper free on the bank statements and hence dont recieve any paper bank statements by post. i ordered 12 months bank statements from HSBC and they have sent them to me. the hiccup is that they have DUPLICATE written on the left side of every month. is that acceptable for HSMP. Mind you they are on HSBC letter head with my account details.

2) For the maintanence section, i need to show i hold a minimum of 800 pounds in my account for over 3 months and i meet that criteria as well. however, is the bank statement enough as a proof or do i even need to submit a letter from the manager stating that?

Looking forward to hearing back from you guys.

thanks

Gaurav

1) This is exactly what I did, and the others on the board kindly reassured me that things would be OK.

2) I think the bank statements alone will be fine.

I am still waiting at present (application submitted in mid-January), but one or two regular contributors to this website have had approval with DUPLICATE statements from HSBC.

Bank Statements

Post by coolchap » Mon Feb 02, 2009 7:59 pm

Hi gauravgandecha,

Make sure you that you mention in your covering letter the reason you are providing Duplicate Statements. Also its better to get the statements stamped from the bank so its more authentic.

Im also gonna apply for Tier 1 in a couple of days, I have managed to get a letter from the bank (with great struggle) confirming the funds for the last 3 months.

Hope this helps.

Regards
