Urgent Advice required

I am on student visa and was enrolled in masters programme. I applied for student visa extension in November 2008. At that time I was waiting for my result and asked HO to extend my visa since I am waiting for my result and graduation. I have received my result recently. The application is still with HO. HO has now asked me to provide the result.

Now my question is that:

If I provide them the result and also complete the PSW (Post study) form with fees, would HO consider my application and give me PSW visa (considering that my leave is still under sec 3c of Immigration Act i.e. asking for variation since no decision yet made by HO).?

Could they refuse the PSW application?

Please advice.
