Hi All,
One of the rules to maintain an ILR is that travel outside the UK should not be longer that 2 years. If one leaves the UK for more than 2 years, one's ILR status will end.
Does anyone know if there is a criteria around the length of time (or purpose) that one can come back to the UK within the 2 year period that allows for the 2 year period to be reset?
For example, you leave the UK for 1.5 years but then come back to the UK for a week to visit. As you've returned to the UK (albeit only for a week), does it mean the 2 year window is broken and you are granted another 2 years?
