Regarding UK visitor visa(10 year) passport expiry

Post by bdhiman84 » Sat Dec 07, 2024 11:50 am

If someone holds a UK visitor visa valid for 10 years and their current passport is expiring while the visa remains valid for another 7 years, is there any action they need to take? For instance, should they update the visa to reflect their new passport?

You need to carry the expired passport - it will be accepted as evidence that you hold a visa. There's no option available to transfer the visa into a new passport (as far as I know).
