Standard visitor visa for parents

Post by Sahrish » Sun Jan 12, 2025 7:46 pm

Hi,
I am applying visitor visa for my parents to visit me in UK for 2-3 weeks, My father is retired government employee and is on pension and have some savings,my mother is house wife and she has some savings as well. I am sponsoring their whole trip from tickets, living and accommodation, there was a question “how much money will your sponsor will be paying towards your visit?” I have put £2000 as an answer to this question.
In the application form there’s another question regarding “How much money are you personally planning to spend on your visit to the UK?

My question is should I include the amount I am giving them plus the amount they want to spend on there’s visit to UK or just the amount they wish they want to spend? How much amount is enough to show for this question?

Many Thanks.

Are you paying for both their tickets with just £2,000?

Also personally in English translation is in-person. Not generally. So from his pocket. You have to evaluate his economic status carefully before answering this. It's a trip up question.

I will be paying £2000 each, so total would be £4000 and this amount includes return tickets as well for both of them.

Clearly show that you have means of paying such huge amount without crippling you. Also make sure that your dad doesn't state some crazy amount to spend personally, as he's now retired and your mum doesn't work. £150 each should be fine.

As I am sponsoring my parents to visit me in the UK, there’s an evidence they want from sponsor and I am not sure what to provide in it. “Evidence that your sponsor is not, or will not be, in breach of UK immigration laws at the time of your visit”.

Can anyone help me with this please, if my British passport is enough for that as an evidence?

Your British passport is exactly what is required. Or any evidence of your legal stay in the UK.

Hi,
I have submitted my parents visa application online and they wanted me to upload the documents in which they are asking for “Proof of application” where examples includes the Access UK documents checklist but on the checklist document it is asking to fill up the checklist and says that do not sign the checklist until you are at your appointment.

What should I include as proof of application?

Should I just fill up the checklist and upload it without there signatures?
