Applying for Visit Visa for My brother

Post by khan_ssalman92 » Thu Apr 17, 2025 8:33 am

Hello, I hope you're all doing well.

I’m looking for some guidance on the process of sponsoring my brother, who currently lives and works in Pakistan, for a UK Standard Visitor Visa. I’m a UK resident and would like to invite him to visit me for a short stay.

I have a few questions I’d really appreciate help with:

1. What documents are required from me as the sponsor?
2. What documents does my brother (the applicant) need to provide from his side?
3. What should I/we be especially careful about to ensure the application has the best chance of success?

Are there any common pitfalls, red flags, or areas the Home Office pays special attention to? Any tips, personal experiences, or up-to-date advice would be greatly appreciated. I just want to make sure everything is in order before submitting the application.

Thank you in advance!

Your brother needs to be working and show stability (money, money and more money). You need to show evidence of your UK residency.

Everything is a potential banana peel if you underestimate the tricky questions.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!
