WP Application & Benefits Questions

Post by BJC » Thu Apr 07, 2005 6:46 am

A couple of quick questions.

1) On the WP1 application, in the part regarding number of applications received and number of people shortlisted/interviewed, does that number need to include me (as the person who the work permit is being applied for)?

2) Is a person employed full time on a WP entitled to normal company benefits offered to resident workers e.g. pension, health insurance, travel insurance etc?

Thanks!

Hello? Can anyone help me with answers to my above questions?

Also, below is the list of documentation I think needs to be submitted for the WP application.

* Completed WP1 form
* My resume
* Copies of my certificates (university degree and professional assocation membership)
* Copies of the company information previously requested
* Detailed position description & company hierarchy chart
* Copy of the advertisement placed on jobserve.com - making sure it clearly shows the original date of placement
* Copy of the invoice from jobserve.com
* Copy of the advertisement placed by independent recruiter - making sure it clearly shows the original date of placement
* Copy of the invoice from the independent recuriter
* All resumes received from applicants
* A list of applicants shortlisted & interviewd
* A document outlining why each applicant was not suitable

Am I missing anything?

The company applying for the WP and I would desperately like this to be approved this time, so any advice given would be very much appreciated.

Well, I've got one more question to ask, which may hopefully get all my other questions answered.

If the job I'm applying for a requires UK equivalent degree level qualification, which I have, plus several years experience, do I still need to provide...
references from past employers on their headed notepaper that verify the person's relevant work experience. References that only describe the person to be of good character are not appropriate. They must give the start and finish dates, details of the work and any experience that makes the person qualified to do the job.
