The visa in your passport is merely permission to stay in the country, and in your case is related to a work permit.
The visa is valid until it expires, or is cancelled by UKBA or by an immigration officer at a port of entry.
The workpermit only permits you to work for the company to whom it was issued. If you take employment anywhere else, you could be arrested, served with a notice for working in breach of the conditions under which you were issued the visa, and removed from the UK.
So, you can stay here until your visa expires, but you can't work. If you leave the UK and seek re-entry your visa might be cancelled if you are no longer complying with the work permit.
If you get another job your new employer must have a sponsor licence to employ you, or persuade UKBA to issue another work permit.
