Need to apply for HSMP for my son who is 1year 11months old

Post by ugonnaokoroafor@yahoo.com » Sun Apr 19, 2009 7:13 pm

Hi Everyone,
I need to apply for HSMP for my son who was born here in UK on the 18 May 2007.
He was born after I had got the HSMP 4 years visa extension for myself+wife+daughter.
I want to apply for his HSMP visa now before we will be due to apply for ILR by next year.
I will be glad to be adviced by anyone that has useful infor about this. Already his passport photo is already on my wife's Int't passport and he can travel with us on that basis.
I want to also know if it will be a better deal to just wait and apply for him when we will be applying for ILR next year.

Your son born in UK does not need a visa for you to include him in your application for ILR (unless you have free money to give to the unforgiving HO!) You can, in the meantime, obtain for him a passport of your nationality. When you apply for ILR, include him among the other 2 dependants and the only cost for him is £50 (contribution to migrant fund). If you apply for him a HSMP now (aka TIER1 dependant) you will pay £1020 at PEO and must show proof of £533 in cash available for him in your account for the last three months!
A Good Opportunity never occurs twice!
