APPLIED IN PERSON FOR ILR UNDER HSMP JUDICIAL REVIEW

Post by sairam1014 » Thu Jun 04, 2009 12:48 pm

Hi all

Could someone please give me estimated time on my application? My case details are as follows...

APPLIED FOR ILR UNDER HSMP JUDICIAL REVIEW

My solicitor applied in person on behalf of me but he only submitted latest 6 months documents (payslips, bankstatements). Case worker asked for the documents since my hsmp extension. So we sent those documents via post (special delivery). So could you please let me know the approximate time on my application? I paid premium service fees. Did anyone come across the same situation, if so how long it took for u?

Thanks in advance.

Did they deduct the Home office fees or is it like your application has been returned due to lack of supporting doucments ?

I thought the procedure is to they won't deduct money if they can't process your application on the same day if anything is missing and return your application and ask you come back.

Did you apply in croydon office ?
It could be really if they have completed the processing and just need to see the documents before they can approve your ILR.

Thanks for your reply tech.

Yeah i applied in croydon. They deduct the fees and kept all my original documents with them. They also gave me the ref no. They just handed a letter to solicitor mentionining what documents they required and also they gave us 14 days time to reply to them.

Thanks.

(some) solicitors are just useless .. what harm would it do if they took more documents from you just in case HO asks for it ...

if you've got a reference number, I would call and ask them this question, how long will it take ..
Good luck !

I'm in a similar boat. I applied in person to the PEO on 7th April, despite confirming the documents required beforehand I was asked to provide 1 years worth of payslips instead of the 3 months worth + P60s I was told over the phone. I was likewise given a letter stating the documents required and 2 weeks to send them in. I did this and returned the docs special delivery on the 14th, but it seems like my app has been caught up in the JR as I've still not recieved my passport back despite paying the premium fee. I have called to get an update on progress, but all I get is the 14 weeks standard reply and nothing can be done till the 14 weeks has passed.
Anyone have idea who I can complain to, if its worth it or do I just have to sit out the 14 weeks?

Did you use the 'solicitor' for a 'check and send service' or just a 'send service' If you used it for check and send you should be asking for your money back. Anyway as Sten use the reference to call and find out. How many days have passed since this happened.

They take the payment first (at Croydon at least) before assessing your case. so the only other option is to decide on your case without the rest of the documents and this might end up in a not so favourable result

Thanks for your replies,

So do you think it will fall under postal application process?

Anyone else in the same boat? If so please let me know the outcome of the result and time for processing.

Thanks,
