I'm joining my girlfriend soon for three months in Mozambique. We're seriously thinking about staying together/marrying afterwards - I might go and live for the longterm there or she might join me here in the UK, which work wise in my case would be the preferred option.
I'm having quite a lot of questions and I'm trying to find out what would be the best thing to do for now, till she will be 21.
1. If she applies for a tourist visa (purpose is visiting friends and family), how likely can this be refused, taking into account she's 20. Obviously, I would sponsor her, which financially won't be a problem. However, although she has a small but (unofficial) irregular job in Moz, she can't proof income (no payslips)
Will my sponsorship be sufficient?
2. She has a one year old child which will join her. She'll need agreement from her ex-partner and father of the child, what will count towards this? A simple and signed declaration of the father? Will we have to go through a family court in Mozambique to obtain an official document for the visa application?
3. If the visa is being refused, how likely will this influence the decision for a family settlement visa once we are married (and she is 21)
4. Are there any other requirements which could influence the decision in a good/bad way? We can provide all necessary proof we're together and are a genuine couple (phonebills, photographs, letters..., the usual stuff which can be used for a family settlement visa) Or is it a big nono even to show we are a couple?
5. Are tourist visa's multiple entry? I have family in Belgium/France, so it would be great to be able to visit them as well.
Thanks for any advice to organize this. The other solution would be for me to stay in Moz for a year which I'm thinking about as well but won't be simple either...
