eea family permit vaf5 form

Post by tonypalmer » Mon Sep 28, 2009 2:03 pm

hi, can anyone help me at all? I am a irish citizen, I have lived in the uk for many years. my wife is ukrainian and we have been married since april. we met last year in may. after we got married, we decided to go to bulgaria for a couple of months after staying kiev for about a month. We finished the work on our house and my wife went back to kiev so that she could get a cat d visa ( i got my residence card) we then decided it would be nice to come to the uk and so i have been here since the end of august 2009. I am working for a driving aggency and have been since the end of august and i have 5 weekly payslips and a letter from them to prove that. we have about 3 thousand left in savings and i rented a flat with a contract dated from the first of sept. we have all our phone calls and photos etc. and wedding citificates, but we are not sure if one months worth of employment is enough for our application? also we are not sure how we should word things and and layout the application. is there anyone that could help us please? we have been ripped of and missled so many times now, we just want to be together!

Which area of the form do you need assistance with. It is a 17 pages form which is straightforward. You need to enter your details and provide the necessary evidence and the biometric. It is not rocket science at all, trust me. Don't get worked up by the amount of pages, most warrants a non-applicable response. Just answer the areas that applies to you.

The fact that you are already a Qualified Person in the UK, add boost to your case. The other thing is providing evidence to counteract any insinuation that your marriage is one of convenience.

The application is free of charge and you partner would need to get her biometric done aswell.

vaf5 eea

hi, its tony again.
thanks to your reply. it is the fine detail that i am worried about for the vaf5 form. like for instance the online form ( wich we are using won't let you put a no answer in the box or you can't move on to the next part of the application. Also with the documents that you should supply, I am concerned that they are correct. I don't want the form to be rejected because i didn't do something that was required, for example, it doesn't say on the form about supplying a sworn decliration and having it stamped by a solicitor but I have been told that I need it, and It doesn't tell you how many pay slips you need to supply, but it has been indicated that we should supply three months, I have only been back in the U.K. for one month so do I have to wait another two months before I can live with my wife? some poeple have said one month is enough but some poeple have said upto six months! I also have a question about bank statements, you must understand we are just a normal couple we don't have a mass of savings I have been told that we should have it least a floating amount of three thousand in my acount, the fact is that I share my money with my wife and so she has some money( that I have told her to open an account with) wich means that together we have about this much but it hasn't been a floating amount. we spent alot on the wedding and renovating our house up in bulgaria, that is why I am here in the U.K. working. to recoupe our finances. I would just like to know for sure what is expected from us. and how we should present the information when we go to the embasy.
