I think the Government's policy is indefensible. Either it is safe to send people back .... or it is not ... in which case asylum is what these people should be granted. Returning people to a country that is clearly unsafe should never have been Government policy.

Thankfully today's case before the Tribunal has decided that, well, subject to any appeal.
