COA marriage

Post by odon7780 » Tue Nov 01, 2005 12:42 pm

I have been in the UK on a work permit for four years and have just applied for indefinate leave to remain. I am planning on marrying a UK citizen next year. Do i require a COA marriage if my application for indefinate leave to remain is accpeted?

ILR holders do not require a COA.

The even better news is that as soon as you have married the British Citizen you will be eligible to apply for Naturalisation as British ... based upon the facts you mention.

The bad news ... you need to study and then pass the Citizenship Test.
