question about marriage visas with previous refusals

Post by cesar » Sun Jun 20, 2010 12:06 pm

Hello,
I have a question about coming to stay in Britain . I am Chilean and my girlfriend is British, we are planning to get married next month.

We have been living between Chile and Germany , but my girlfriend has to go back to England this September to study for at least a year. I would really like to go and stay with her while she studies and either work or study as well. The problem is that I have been refused entry twice before. The first time I tried to visit my girlfriend was September 2007. I was refused entry at port, I could not speak English at the time but have recently learnt it was because the Customs officers “were not satisfied that I was genuinely seeking entry as a visitor for a limited periodâ€

In my opinion you would not meet the requirements as you have no regular income, your partner is going to be studying and your situation has not really changed since your last refusal
